Export Policy
This page explains what export and download access Artwell currently allows before trial start, after expiry, and during retained read-only states.
Overview
Artwell treats export access as an important user-trust valve. Export rights depend on lifecycle state and on whether the relevant data is still retained.
Export access alone does not automatically start a free trial. Trial start is governed by the first successful transcription-start action under the Artwell trial flow.
Transcript-derived exports
While transcript text and metadata are retained, Artwell's current transcript-derived export routes remain available. This includes the current transcript export formats such as:
- clean text
- cut list
- CSV
- DOCX
- SRT
- VTT
This export access can remain available in preview/read-only and post-expiry read-only states as long as the transcript data itself is still within the retention window described in the Retention Policy.
Source media downloads
Source-media download is treated differently from transcript text. Media download remains available only while the retained media file is still within its active retention window.
When retained media reaches its deletion window, media download access ends even if transcript text remains retained longer.
Blocked and compute-heavy exports
After expiry or lapse, Artwell blocks new compute-heavy generation, render, and export flows unless you have active paid access. In other words, Artwell aims to let you recover retained work, but not continue unlimited compute-heavy processing while the account is in read-only mode.
If you need restored active access, resubscribe through the account or subscription flow.
